Morning all
Its been raining this morning but the sun is due back out later on it will be quite nice to walk the dogs in slightly cooler weather, the big one especially suffers from the heat, little dog who is twice the age seems unaffected and zooms about.
Still no Rob and I doubt I will see him for the rest of this week and he is away next week so won’t see him for a while people are checking in on him though which is good.
Will get the dogs out this morning and then I will go and get the shopping I want to get some nice biscuits or chocolates from M&S for two friends we have made in Greece.
Mehefin I am so glad you have finally got the DC and that things are moving now.
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Morning everyone
Good news....DD and little one got home late yesterday afternoon! She's still very tired - they both are, they were in bed not long after 6pm. Her stomach seems to have sorted itself out, though she will probably need another operation on it quite soon, and she's eating normally again. DD still needs to be told if the latest blood tests showed anything but little one's consultant is off this week. Just so happy to have them back...thank you all again for all your good wishes.
My dad was a little better yesterday too...still very sore and bruised but more cheerful and talkative, so that was good.
I did my pile of ironing done yesterday and then my holiday stuff tidied away and the case back in the cupboard.
We're forecast a lovely sunny day with no wind so I'm planning to slap a bit of paint on the fence in the back garden this morning and hopefully see DD and little one later.
Mehefin - pleased to hear you've been able to get organised.
Hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Tell us once instigated the council tax reduction here Mehefin
I didn’t expect it to as council is notoriously inefficient ,
My DH died on the 28 th of April and the May 30 payment had already corrected it
Quite frankly I was amazed !7 -

@mehefin I'm so sorry to read of your loss.
So lovely to see the support you receive from the daily thread. What a kind group.
I hope this helps a little. The tell us once service was something I worked on many years ago. I'm so glad it was set up.

Morning everyone happy birthday Floss and DP1 I’m pleased to hear about the little one we need to know all she has to tell you about her stay I can imagine it is going to be such a tale . Just finished a cleaning job and sat having a cuppa I got the beds stripped and washed before I went out and left hubby instructions that they had to be hung out they not far off dry so I have put a towel load in that’s my excitement for the day it’s lovely and sunny here but showers for tomorrow Taff hopefully if your builders are getting wet they might work a bit faster to get out of the rain Mehefin glad that you can now get on and sort Dawns funeral out it’s shocking the amount of running around you have had to do . Nan you are in my thoughts you have so many worries at the moment . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Hello all, I'm so late I didn't even get to post yesterday although I did start one ! Yesterday we went to town to get some keys cut for Dad and I did a bit of retail therapy and bought some clothes in the sale, very MSE. In the afternoon DD organised a private care company to go to Dad's for an assessment and we both went to meet him, Dad has agreed to have a carer in the mornings for an hour and she will start asap. We then had the run around between the surgery and pharmacy for a script for Dad, then back over to town to have another key cut, lots of apologies and locksmiths error as apparently the wrong blank used, then back to Dad's to try it, success !
This morning I was first in the telephone queue at the surgery (I'm usually 14 + ) to get a home visit for dad as he's not been eating or drinking much and has lost a stone in weight in 3 weeks, then up to my lovely dentist for a check up. She's a fountain of medical knowledge and explained some of my medial problems in detail as apparently according to my records I have Graves disease too, I wish she was my GP as well as my dentist, she's great.
We then managed to get to the garden centre for a toastie and coffee for lunch, then back via the shop for some instant mash and LL milk which we delivered to Dad's. While I was there I emptied the OOD food from his fridge and cleaned his sink of food gunk ( chunky chicken and veg soup won't go down the plughole no matter how long it sits there) 🤢. We haven't long got home and are now absolutely shattered and Mr Fix It has gone to bed which is something he never does 🤔
Mehefin glad it's all now moving in the right direction. When DM passed away the Tell Us Once service at the registrars (Wales) sorted the council tax reduction for Dad.
dp1 great news that little one is home, she's such a trooper.
Izzy well done for saying no, perhaps the penny has now dropped for her 🤷♀️
Hope I haven't missed anyone out, it is not on purpose but I don't know if I'm on my head or my heels.
Take care all, hugs
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10
