Ok, back... everything finally fell into place yesterday afternoon after many phonecalls. So the horsepital has finally signed off the paperwork for Dawn The bereavement guy was SO apologetic. Apparently he got told off for the tone of his email to senior staff trying to get this resolved. Speaks volumes!
Fd is sorted and funeral/celebration of life booked for next Thursday - the last slot before the Bank Hol which would have meant the mid week following otherwise. Waiting to hear from the celebrant to go through the service plan.
Got an appointment with the Registrar this morning to get the elusive 'sustificate' and copies. £12.50 each!!! Daylight robbery.
other than that its informing people as best I can and sitting back to relax a little after some very stressful days. Still waking at 4.30am though!
Hugs and spoons as always to those in need, and a special cwtch to Nan.

@mehefin that's good news, and it sounds like everything is coming together. I often get told off at my hospital when trying to "encourage" others to do their job!!
Not much happening here, its a WFH day today and I'm still recovering after a long & fun-filled day trip to Dublin on Saturday to celebrate the 60th birthdays of me & another friend.
Cat has spent the night on my bed and is now sat on my chest staring at me over my phone so I had better get up & feed her!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning all. @mehefin - that's such news at last. Well done that staff member. As for DCs, I bought four and still have them all. Most companies and banks, in my experience, asked for a scan of it to be uploaded online. The one organisation which asked for it sent it straight back. Anyway, it's good to know that arrangements are now on a roll.Yesterday was mostly foul again. I only went out to take some food waste (☹️) to the tip. I spent a lot of time sorting new savings accounts, interest rates are dropping every day and I've got a couple of fixed term ones maturing very soon. I'm using the interest to replace my lost air pods which are much missed.Today is forecasted to be the best of the week, I'll reserve judgement until tomorrow. I've folded and out away the laundry which I'd been ignoring for a few days. 😀
Take care folks. Hugs to poorlies and sads.8 -
Morning All
After a very wet day yesterday it's sunny this morning, the white wash is doing it's thing! I bought a new duvet cover from Ikea the other day so that can be washed too. I've got a course this morning nearer to home so have an extra hour.
Pleased to hear everything is now in place Mehefin.
Happy 60th Floss!
Hope the little one comes home soon dp1 and your DDad is recovering well.
Rob is lucky to have you looking out for him Ruby.
Hugs to Nanny and anyone else with worries.
Work yesterday was ok, lots to sort out before the little darlings arrive tomorrow. There's still so much to do so could do without this training course but lots of jobs can't be done until the children actually arrive.
I've cleared some more of the kitchen in readiness for the decorator but I don't actually have a date for his arrival yet - don't want to be rushing about last minute.
Have a good day, take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks MEHEFIN. I'm glad your main source of stress has finally been lifted and you can now make plans. .
The young chap yesterday made a lovely job of cleaning the guttering, window frames, etc. It all looks pristine. I just wish the front garden makeover plan wasn't on hold as it's driving me mad looking at it. No idea what today holds. The couple of weeks of sloth that took over, thanks to all the Olympic watching, is still with me and I can't seem to get motivated to do anything much. .The sun is shining and forecast to stick around but even that isn't spurring me on.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies, getting better or just fed up. Take care all, be safe xx

Thank you for the start @mehefin good news everything is in place. I bought two DCs for my DH and still have them both. Just shown and returned.
dp2 hope little one gets home soon
Happy birthday Floss
Thinking of Nan
Still very hot here, we are forecast rain on Friday.
Like every other day nothing happening.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.12 -
I agree with the others re DC ,I bought 3 and still have them all .Most places just scan and return or even just ask you to scan and send them .
Make use of the Tell us once service ,great for DSS ,Council etc ,but private pension funds do not subscribe to it so you have to tell them individually .
Hope you can get thing’s progressed today

Morning, drizzling, yay! Builders will be a bit soggy this morning but the plants are happier, so no complaints here. Off to OHs mums for tea tonight, and stop off at a bathroom place sort of on the way [ not really but in roughly the same direction] . Finally went through the paperwork yesterday, quite a lot to be shredded or burnt, not much filed, I don't know why I put it off for so long. Upshot is four magazines to read, and a few things to be acted on. I'll have to get the rag ready to go to the cs tomorrow and my stuff I'm palming off onto a friend..we do like ot give each other things to clutter our respective houses up, it's almost a game now.Mehefin, heavens to betsy at last! At least you have a concrete date now, must be better than limbo. Izzy, that was so funny, I'd have loved to have seen her face when yu said no [ evil in me] and well done for not going with an explanation. Like you say, you don't need to give her one. Floss, Happy 60th belatedly! Nanny, hope things can be sorted for your dad with more help or whatever...You definitely do not need the extra stress right now. Take care all, got to go, it's making tea time...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi9

me again!!
Can any one of you who is eligible and have gone through he process please advise if the Tell it once service will instigate a council tax reduction for single occupancy, or will I have to do the deed myself?
Thanks in advance
mehefin
Sorry , keep having random thoughts and I know there is a mass of experience on here for which I am truly thankful - M.7 -

Sorry , keep having random thoughts and I know there is a mass of experience on here for which I am truly thankful - M.You have to instigate it yourself, unfortunately. There's so much to do after a death. I kept a wee notebook and wrote down everything I had done, who I spoke to, what happened etc. It was so useful to keep track of stuff.@Floss - have we missed your birthday or is it still to come? Anyway, Happy Birthday / Happy belated Birthday.🎂5
