Direct Debit for Phone & Bank Details Confusion

I just did an upgrade on Three this week - however they have changed how they do things - they make you pay for the phone and service separately (I hate this weird way of doing things).
But this has confused me, because its an upgrade I already have a DD in place. I had to reenter my details and just put in Mr followed by my surname without even thinking about it! Now it looks to me that they are going to set up 2 direct debits?
One for the phone, one for service? Even though they already had one set up. And will it work as I didn't put my first name? That confuses me. Does the DD need my first name to work?

Three used to do it this way years and years ago. I actually quite liked it.0

I don't have any contracts with Three myself, but my money is on them setting up 2x new DDs and then the existing one will no longer be used to take payments. I reckon it'll probably get set up okay without providing your full name, as long as the account details are correct. If you don't get a few new mandates appearing on your bank account in the next week or so then you'll know for sure, and then I'd possibly look to set it them again. Also, once the first payments are taken using the new mandates, you're probably then safe the cancel the old one if you're worried about double payments being taken.1
