Reclaim Packaged bank charges TSB

I am needing information regarding a TSB account opened 1986. How can I find out if i had to pay a monthly fee.
It seems TSB merged with LLoyds. How do I find out what my agreement with them was and did they include monthly fees and how would I know
as they have now split the new TSB has my account, and having complained about package charges I was informed I used a aa breakdown service in 2017 and registered a phone in 2019.my complaint has been refused
Re the AA, i didn't realise I was covered until I phoned the AA and they asked me if I was covered by my bank.
I added a phone 2019 as I could not understand what I was paying the fees for I was under the impression it was compulsory.
The benefits are useless to me. I havn't held a passport since I retired. my cars are bought with AA cover anyway .
I would welcome any suggestions of the way forward

    Look at your bank statements.

Those are good solid reasons for them to reject the complaint.   It means you did know you had a PBA and therefore cannot complain that you had the account and didn't know it or couldn't make use of the things.

The benefits are useless to me.
But you have used them twice.

I would welcome any suggestions of the way forward
Unless that rejection was in the last 6 months, you are now timebarred from any future complaint on this subject.  You must appeal via the FOS within 6 months of the rejection if you wish to take it further.

If it makes you feel any better, the upheld rate on PBA complaints is tiny and the FOS only upheld around 1 in 10.   Most of the banks had managed to get to the point they could timebar over a decade ago.   This is why it never became a thing.

  • To add to the above answer every year TSB would have sent you a letter asking if the account is still suitable for you.
