We have previously stayed at the Old Post Office in Aston Cantlow near Stratford on Avon and it has a couple of nights available next week on cottages.com

The cottage and its owners are very quirky, there's a foody pub to one side and the church where Shakespeare was allegedly married to the other side. Lots to do in the area from Stratford, to Roman history, to Stately Homes, family attractions, longer walks, whatever you want really.

I wonder whether the OP managed to arrange anything?

Oddly, one of the venues I linked yesterday just this moment sent a marketing e-mail for stays in August:

"Dinner, Bed & Breakfast for Two
Stay the night in a superior room with a delicious dinner, hot breakfast and a summer cocktail included.
You'll also have access to the pool and wellness suite throughout your stay.
Available until 31st August from £139/night."

I haven't. Is this Balmer Lawn? If so, how are you accessing their offers lol, because direct from their website is giving me different prices. For example, this page says "Prices start from £240 in a superior room for 2 adults & 1 child" but actually clicking on it and then going to book it, prices start from £580!

No, it is not Balmer Lawn.  It is the other venue I mentioned yesterday, who happened to send me a marketing e-mail this afternoon.

The offer I mentioned yesterday was one I received via a marketing e-mail but, as I mentioned, it was for this weekend just gone :(

How old is your child?  I understood it is a babe-in-arms, so you don't really want a "child" space but a double room with a cot (or allowed to use your own travel cot).  Would you accept using a travel cot for a couple of nights?
The "adults plus child" rate includes the provision for the child eating but a babe-in-arms won't be eating as such.

From the offers page on the Balmer Lawn website, they have "Book Two Nights, Have the Third on Us" and a standard double including breakfast for next week 20th - 23rd August (Tuesday - Friday) at £430.  That is for two adults.  The standard double is the type of room we had when we stayed and it had more than sufficient space for a cot / travel cot to be placed in the room.

(I note the terms and conditions say if you don't stay the full booking, they will charge the full costs so that might not work if you can't do three nights - you originally mentioned two nights but I am not sure how flexible you can be.)

You may well need to phone to check the details and make the booking so that you are OK with the travel cot.  But, let's be honest, the hotel has empty rooms available next week, so you'd expect that they should be flexible to accommodate you.  Especially if you can travel mid-week as this type of hotel will tend to be full with families (and Weddings) at weekends in the summer but have vacant space mid-week as there are fewer business events.

Well, I emailed Balmer Lawn and asked:
"If we book a double room, can we also place a travel cot for our baby?"

    They replied:
"if you make us aware you are bringing your own travel cot or would like to use one of our cots for your child, we can make sure we place you in a room that gives you enough space to do so.  Please be aware that if you need to use one of our cots it is £25 supplement singular charge for the stay."

    How old is your baby?

I suggest you call them to make the booking rather than simply doing online.

I wonder whether the OP managed to find a break and enjoyed their time.
