    Not sure what you mean by membership? Santander is a bank not a member owned building society like Nationwide.

    3% is better than the 0% paid on the 123Lite current account. For somewhere to leave a bit of 'spare' money needed in the 123Lite the next day it is less hassle than transferring to an external provider and then back to Santander the next day.

    I’m simplifying my (our) financial affairs to make life easier for our Executors. No longer chasing the highest rate or switching bonus and I won’t open new accounts anywhere we don’t already have one. Our joint current account is Nationwide FlexPlus which pays 0% so I use this for surplus joint funds
    3% is indeed better than 0%
