Morning everyone
I'm going to tackle this pile of ironing then I'm going down to sit with dad while mam goes to an appointment.
Had a nice tidy of the garden yesterday afternoon, though it was to windy to sit outside which was a bit disappointing. Hopefully that might happen today.
Camelot I smiled at you and your little one ignoring each other - I often hear a loud 'Granny!!' when I'm at nursery and little one is on her tiptoes at the window or the fence around our garden - we have a rule of I don't kiss her at school though. With her being poorly so much it's nice to be able to look out the window and see she's running around with the other children.
I'd love there to be a message that they're coming home today - will just have to see.
Redruby - I'd love to go to a sunflower maze, it will be lovely.
Mehefin I hope you get what you're waiting for today.
Right must move - hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all,
Been up for hours but I haven’t achieved much! Just popped into the garden to bring in the dry bedding, it is lovely out there, not too hot at the moment.
My sister and two of her children are popping in for lunch while en route to see mum, so if not too hot we will sit in the garden. They are coming via M&S so I don’t need to prepare lunch, yay!
Apart from this, not much else planned, I like days like these. It is going to be an easy tea of pasta bake as I have some meat free lardons to use up.
Thinking of all of you who are in the midst of caring duties, I was in this position until very recently.
Take care.

Hi everyone,
I've had a busy morning with Esther, she came shopping with me and was helping to pull the shopping basket. she wasn't happy about me insisting on holding her hand when we walked across the car park - tough though.
I had Esben yesterday, Laura thought she'd booked him in at holiday club but it was today instead. He's no trouble though, he loves crafting and his hot wheels cars, we couldn't go out because it was so hot. At one stage I gave him my water spray and let him do his worst, it made me feel better.
Esther is nappingin the coolest room in the house and I'm hoping she doesn't wake up for another house while I tidy up. I have seen a few "room reset" videos and people seem to achieve an awful lot in 30 minutes, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Izzy, well done on sticking to your guns.
Mehefin, hoping you get the DC today, I know from experience you can't get anything done without it, it's disgraceful it's taken so long.
Woohoo dp1, hopefully she will be home soon.

Chrisca50 said:@Gers thanks for that. J D Kirk looks right up my street. Another Logan policeman! I can see that MacBride has done some short stories too. I presume the storylines won't continue and they will be one offs! There's some fruity language in the JD Kirk books, mostly from someone called Hoon, but it's appropriate for his character. Hoon also has a couple of books all to himself! I listen to them as audio books which just adds to the flavour.@Izzy - well done you.6

Gers, Izzy and Chrisca, we listen to the J D Kirk's, they are very entertaining. The Hoon books are probably more violent and he has also done a couple about a female Di in Glasgow but the characters pop up in all the series. The author is very prolific, he only started the series in lockdown and there are lots.5
