Hi all,
Have had a look around online but getting nowhere. Basically i want to find a "historic" rental price( from around this time last year ) I am fairly certain that a particular property may soon be up for rent again, so want to see what the asking rent was in 2023, and see what the layout, and kitchen/bathroom was like then.... ( think its being refurbed at present )
I know its easy to find this info for sold prices, but more tricky for rentals....
Thank you

Just tried with a property I let out 11 months ago - and you are right, no obvious way to find it on rightmove. Do you know which agent it was up with? Possible the agent might have archive properties stored somewhere.
Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.1 -
Thanks for having a look Mr G - i couldnt remember which agent listed it - luckily my OH messaged a friend who lives on the same road ( its a long way from where we are currently residing ) and we have most of the relevant info now.

The best place to find these kind of things is Reddit. All sorts of beta sites created by clever people. There is a Telegram bot somebody developed (link to thread) that tells you exactly this.
I think the owner of the bot can send you a new code (search in the thread linked above).
It texts back links to all the old rental ads in a postcode going back to about 2008.Credit cards: £9,705.31 | Loans: £4,419.39 | Student Loan (Plan 1): £11,301.00 | Total: £25,425.70Debt-free target: 21-Feb-2027

Sometimes you can find old adverts by googling (or another search engine of your choice) the address or postcode.1
