Building Insurance through shared ownership party

Hi there, I own a shared ownership property of which i own 25% of the house, the rest i pay rent.
Building insurance is done through the housing Association who I pay the rent to. Each year the price of this goes up and up and this time we've been told to pay over a grand for the year. When i personally do a separate private quote, I can get this for just over £100 for the year worst case £750. Do I have any leg to stand on to refuse to pay their price of £1,000 when the supplier hasn't changed in 4 years and the letter we received basically said don't talk to them about the price of the renewal.

Is this a house or flat or....?

The housing association will be buying commercial property insurance not home insurance. Its a different product and is priced differently
