more than one Barclaycard?

Occasionally I read on the forum boards that someone has two or three Barclaycards. e.g. Barclays Hilton and Barclays reward, etc. I was probably mistakenly assuming that one is allowed to have only one Barclaycard. So my questions are - does Barclaycard remove the restriction from time to time? In particular, is it possible to have Barclays Avios and Barclays Travel Reward at the same time?

Yes, sometimes they will let you apply for an additional Barclaycard, but most of the time they won't.

You wonder what they will do when they take on Tesco account holders. I currently have 2 Barclaycards and a Tesco credit card.

Most likely nothing but will simply not allow you to open another one if you decide to close one down. They could manage you out of one or more products but they dont have a history of doing so.

I had the old Barclaycard Amex, when they stopped that they said I could choose any of their other cards to transfer to. I asked to transfer to the Travel card, which had a "temporary" zero fx markup for 4 years. But they said, "err, except that one" !!  But they suggested I could transfer the Amex to the 0.5% rewards card, and I could apply for a Travel card as well. So I did.

And when the temporary zero fx expired I switched the "Travel" card to the new Rewards card.
