Hi all
My 2019 Tiguan 7-speed DSG 24k miles car threw up a gearbox warning message with engine management light saying reverse not available.
It could still drive although skipped some gears and revs jumped around. It cleared when you switched off and then recurred after a while
Thankfully VW recovered to a VW garage back home as I was 100 miles away. They ordered the Mechatronic part and fitted it and seems fine now. All straightforward
My question is does anyone know if the mechatronic has been updated or would it be an identical part which is at the same risk if going again?
