Lycamobile SIM Card Deactivation

I need help/advice please. Two weeks ago my Lycamobile SIM card was deactivated without any reason. The only number that I have been using(daily) for the past five years. I contacted the customer service and all they do was just to quote the 90 days policy, but when I email the complaint department with all evidence that the number was always in use and with monthly bundle subscription, the company suddenly went quiet and never replied my email again, even when I called and after is hearing my complaint, they just put me on hold for hours until the phone got cut off. It’s been two weeks now and no solution and the company not helpful. What next should I do. Thanks. Kenneth

I think that you should probably just get a new SIM from a different supplier of your choice.Lycamobile looks to be in big trouble, see this from the Financial Times:Edit- Sorry that link now appears to be paywalled. Here is another- apparently they have now been given a winding up order by HMRC https://www.theguardian.com/business/article/2024/aug/14/tory-donor-lycamobile-handed-winding-up-order-from-hmrc-amid-tax-disputeYes it can be a pain if you have to inform everyone that you have a new number, but you don't appear to have a choice.
Even if you get your Lycamobile SIM re-activated it looks like they are not the supplier to be with, and may even go bust soon.

Have you tried requesting the PAC code from them. Obviously you won't be able to text for it, but the service centre may still be able to issue it.
Otherwise, formal complaint is the only way you can really go.1 -
Slightly off-topic but just for info in case anyone is searching the forum, I have tried to get PAC code from Lycamobile today. Both texts to 65075 (for porting) and 85075 (for info) simply resulted in an error. I was wondering if SMS messages were just not working, so I texted another number to check. Also checked that these codes do work on Lebara, they do but they also require a DOB along with the text 'PAC' to do anything much. Probably a good thing that Lebara requires this for security.I phoned the help desk number and did speak to someone. They weren't aware of any issues with these numbers (not sure they knew about them), but told me I have to give 30 days notice of cancellation, which I hadn't anticipated from a so-called '1 month contract' (gotta read the small print). They also told me I have to make a further manual payment at the end of the notice period manually on the website, because the account will be shut down after that time and won't be able to take payment for the final period (due to the billing cycle). So I can only request my PAC code later, because it will expire in the intervening time. Will be interesting to see how much they sting me for.0

Lol, "weren't aware". They were given a winding up order. I've edited a link in my post above.Of course you have no intention of making that manual payment do you.In fact reading all that I would not be giving them anything more, and if you have a Direct Debit to Lycamobile then I'd go further and cancel it with your bank before Lycamobile try to skin you. What you describe there is typical of a company going bust and trying to get as much money as they can before that happens and their accounts are frozen.0
