Soundproofing internal rooms

Hi, I’m considering using a downstairs room as a bedroom however there is noise leakage through the party wall from my next door neighbours. I can hear muffled conversations when they are using their room and the TV when it is on. I was wondering if it would be worth soundproofing the party wall on my side or whether a large sound board would be as effective. The party wall is brick and not partition wall.
any advise on which or what is most effective and how to go about it would be most appreciated.
Thanks

Gosforth Handyman soundproofed a studio he built in his garden. His videos go into a lot of detail so might cover what you're after.0

Soundproofing is a relative term, you could definitely improve the sound transfer but to completely eliminate it would be potentially very expensive as you would have to isolate not only the wall by the floor too.
Getting a good reduction is possible with an additional isolated stud wall with acoustic fill and soundbloc board. You can also fix sound deadening rubber sheets to the existing party wall which will reduce the transfer further. Its a big topic to cover in a comment with out photos/drawings but definitely doableSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!1
