Morning all, no lie in here, just inertia though I have changed the bedding and got the washing machine whirring away. It's almost finished so I'll get it out on the line. The weather is rather iffy though I'm hoping that everything dries well as there's not much of a breeze.@Snoozer - happy anniversary to you and Mr Snoozer. Age seems to creep up whilst time flies past, it's very peculiar. I was watching something on TV yesterday (may have been the news) and the man being interviewed was aged 70 years but looked so much older. It gave me a shock...do I look like that? I certainly don't feel that old. It was weird for a little while. That got me to think about the cost of colouring my hair every eight weeks, it's almost £100 for the cut and colour. Am I that vain that I continue with it? The conundrum isn't really about the money, although it is a factor, it's about my mental image of myself! Still mulling. My lunch is ready and waiting, it'll wait a bit longer as I like eat around 2p.m.'ish and I've had my protein powder. Swallowed an omega 3 thing with it.@mehefin - go give them hell! I suspect that it's merely thoughtfulness from those involved. If needed then perhaps the coroner can issue an interim DC though it may not be appropriate. In any case I'm sending you lots of hugs to keep your spirits up.@TA - happy birthday to yourr DGD. It's my youngest nephew's too and my late brother's. Nephew tends to get upset on the shared birthday.@Nan - enjoy your mystery tour!I'm off to hang out sheets, with a bit of luck I won't get tangled in them.6

Sorry to hear about DH chest infection @WickedLady4 x
I was up early for a 5k run. Very warm even at 6.45am so I struggled a bit (I am by no means a runner as have short legs, but I give it a go!). Showered and watered the pots, and have just done a shop at Ts. Usually go to A!di but Ts is just down the road. Got mainly BBQ bits to have this week as the weather is due to be hot until Friday. We had planned to tidy the garden today, but will wait until later.

Morning everyone
Lovely bright blue sky and sunshine here. You picked the right weekend to come to Northumberland Izzy.
Yesterday afternoon I had a good tidy of the back garden and picked the peas little one and I planted, got quite a lot. It was nice but too windy to just sit and read - I did get all my washing dry though.
This morning I've been down to sit with dad while mam went to church. He has a black eye and is very sore with cracked ribs after his fall on Monday, but brighter than he was yesterday.
I've been to Homebase and bought some reduced petunias to go in the pots the peas were in - I'll get that done this afternoon. It's far too nice to do the ironing, so it can sit and wait patiently.
DD texted this morning to say little one had eaten a bowl of coco pops for breakfast and had ordered roast beef for lunch. She's hoping they will come home this week - they'll have been there 3 weeks by tonight.
Hope everyone has a good day x7 -
Arfternoon all...My sister has just left so I think for the rest of the day I will watch rubbish and nap on the sofa. It's stupid hot and sunny so the fan is on and I have nothing to do until tomorrow morning and that's a Costco run to get more bacon. Had a successful shopping trip-ette with her to M&S and TK thingy, I bought an egyptian cotton sheet and a blackleather bag for the wedding or posh occasions [ square and chunky looking with lots of pockets, goes with my doc sandals] and she got some perfume and a bag for her laptop that she can backpack rather than carry on her shoulder. I gave the girl behind the till all the gubbins they always put in it too..couldn't be bothered to get rid of it at home No builders tomorrow so a day of cleaning and more sorting, going to plumbers places to look for toilets and shower trays and tile ordering online.Mehefin, hoe you get a result tomorrow, and yeah, don't bother waiting now, go to Pals. There should be an office in the hospital somewhere. Gers, that's one of the reasons I stopped colourng it, the expense wasn't worth it with short hair but I do remind myself I'm different by using the purple shampoo on it sometimes, keeps the yellow off the white and makes it a bit purple and my last and next haircut is a mohican type thing, so that way, i stay truer to my alternative roots
when it's flat it just looks normal. dp, glad to hear she's imprving, hope your dad does too...Peony, condolences..Coxy, happy house sale! Nanny, it does seem bit like it's being piled on you doesn't it, fingers crossed for Mr Fixit...Izzy, hope you're having a lovely weekend. Happy Anniversary snoozer!
