Hi,
I purchased a piece of vinyl flooring on 01/07/24. It was due to be fitted on Monday.

Came home from holiday today to a letter from the administrators saying Carpetright had gone in to administration at the end of July.
I Googled for further advice and the MSE guide says to try chargeback (debit card purchase) but the bank message when I queried it said they won’t deal with it if it’s with administrators.
I assume that means we’ve lost the money? Luckily it was ‘only’ £65. I am only really querying it as the letter says Tapi have bought some of the stores, but the one I bought from has definitely closed so I’m confused as to whether this would make a difference.
Is it worth me pursuing it in any way - either by raising the chargeback on the phone with the bank or by filling in the form received from the administrators?
Thank you,

The chargeback will be unsuccessfull. As there's no monies to effect a refund. The Company is insolvent.1

I thought that would be the case. Is it worth filling the forms to get it back from the administrators do you think?Hoenir said:The chargeback will be unsuccessfull. As there's no monies to effect a refund. The Company is insolvent.0 -
Totally WRONG👍Hoenir said:The chargeback will be unsuccessfull. As there's no monies to effect a refund. The Company is insolvent.
Any refund from a chargeback comes from their merchants bank. How they get it back is their problem.
@Anoneemoose Please call your bank on Tuesday & start the process.
