Gatwick Airport - Stopping on Red Route

I was driving the leased car and the company has provided my details as the driver of the hired vehicle. I have stopped for less than 30 seconds to confirm the passenger pickup location on the ride hailing app.

How do the lease company know you were the driver? Or did you mean keeper?0

Parking firm is NCP. The car was on short term rental in my name from the lease/hirer company and they sent my details to NCP. Thanks0

OK, so NCP know who hired the car.Syed114 said:Parking firm is NCP. The car was on short term rental in my name from the lease/hirer company and they sent my details to NCP. Thanks
It is particularly important that NCP never find out who was driving at that time because there is no way that they can transfer any driver's liability to the hirer.1 -

Use the appeal wording in the Gatwick Heathrow Airport Drop off Group thread.

I may be wrong, but the o/p appears to be a taxi driver albeit in a rental vehicle.
If so, in addition to any other arguments, I believe that I'm right in saying that registered private hire vehicles are permitted to stop on many red routes, so there's always that argument - ie. That the signage was inadequate to convey that normal highway code did not apply.3 -
Thank you very much for everyone’s help and support. The PCN is now cancelled 😊😊“Thank you for taking the time to contact us in regards to this notice. Based on the information provided, this notice has been cancelled and no further action is required.”3
