Hiya , do anyone know if I can go to a bank and sit down with someone to discuss buying one off shares? If so would the share account be available to on my banking app? Very new to this

No, those days are long gone. Just open a brokerage account with e.g., iWeb (ultimately part of Lloyds Bank), Freetrade, Trading212, CMC Invest HSBC/First Direct offer stockbroking, Barclays has SmartInvestor. You need to be careful to check that the stockbroker offers the shares you want to buy. Of the ones I've mentioned T212 probably has the widest range.kymrob said:Hiya , do anyone know if I can go to a bank and sit down with someone to discuss buying one off shares? Unless you have already maxed out your ISA allowance, you would be better off opening a Stocks & Shares ISA and buying/holdinging the shares in the ISA.
iWeb and others offer Stocks & Shares ISAs.The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -

If the ability to manage your sharedealing account through your banking app is important to you, then Halifax Sharedealing accounts can be managed within the Halifax banking app and Lloyds Sharedealing accounts can be managed within the Lloyds banking app.

Same for Barclays. Looks like purchases and sales with HSBC is via online banking, so the browser, but if it's the same as its OEIC investment platform you'll still be able to view your portfolio in the app.MarkFromCornwall said:kymrob said:Hiya , do anyone know if I can go to a bank and sit down with someone to discuss buying one off shares?
