Magaluf 2008

Looking to book a holiday for 12 lads to the Fiesta Jungla, Magaluf, Majorca. This year we went from 9th-16th July for 259GBP a person for 8 people with flights and transfers.

For 2008 the Thomson prices have inflated to nearly 400GBP which I found ridicolous. Does anyone have any better quotes? We're looking at perhaps going near the end of June instead, but the prices for Summer 08 seem way inflated compared to last year!

Any tips/suggestions?

We want to stay in the same accom though which is proving tricky because Thomson do it exclusively, and it seems in 08 there Thomson Plus holidays rather than Freestyle holidays which I'm wondering is perhaps why the price has shot up!

We're dead set on the same hotel, dates, place to be honest, is this the price we're going to have to pay really?

Portland only do the hotel next door for famalies, I'll try Teletext though! We booked through the Thomson website last new Years eve and was hoping to do the same with there sale this time, but they don't seem to be reducing the prices!

i would advise saving you money and going somewhere else!!
i stayed there couple of years ago and hated magaluf. the maid also broke into our room and stole form us while we were in there. also while we were there the tiles in our room came loose and we have to have part of the floor retiled. i have never wanted to come home form holiday but wanted to go home from magaluf after 3 days!!!

We stayed at the family bit - it was great!
There's a SPAR shop just across the road from the hotel and a topless bar (aka knocking shop!) just around the corner - (allegedly!)

How about flights out with Easyjet 1st July -8th Julyfrom East Mids airport @ £915.48 (including baggage) for all 12 of you.

Then book hotel only through Thomson @ around £1530 for 3 apartments (you might have to call for final price as its a large party booking)

just had a quick look don't know where you want to fly from but £84 each bmibaby to palma on the 3 July returning 10th July east midlands plus £1569 for the apartments if you run it through a quidco account 7% commission so your apartment cost of around £130 would be almost covered by the commission.So the good news is your holiday could cost you only £84 flight plus £22 for your apartment and your mates will get a good deal too of only of around £217 ish.You would need to make 2 seperate booking for apartments as Thomson only lets you book online up to 9 people .But the apartments are there and available so no problems.Hope this helps .Any problems booking it private message me

Cheers for the advice, looking to fly from Birmingham ideally, but East Mids is a possibility.
