SECTION 2.1 - DESCRIPTION

In our Season Score Predictor Game, Entrants are invited to forecast the scores of up to five (5) English Premier League matches selected by the Promoter each Matchweek during the 2024/25 Season.

Points are awarded for correctly predicting all of the following: a correct score, the outcome (home win, away win or draw), the number of goals scored by each team and the difference between the two team’s scores.

The main prizes are awarded to the Entrants who finish in the top three of the Score Predictor Leaderboard at the end of the Season by accumulating the most points. There are also weekly prizes.

Entrants also compete in club and national Score Predictor Leaderboards, and can opt to join or create mini leagues to play against family, friends and colleagues.

SECTION 2.2 - HOW TO PLAY AND RULES

2.2.1 How to play

Season Score Predictor is available to play on the Website and Apps.

In order to submit an entry in Season Score Predictor you must be registered for Dream Team 2024/25.

To be eligible for prizes, you must meet the criteria set out at Section 2.1 of the General Terms & Conditions.

2.2.2 How to predict

Entrants must enter a score prediction for up to five (5) Featured Matches in a Matchweek.

Entrants are able to make a prediction for a Featured Match by clicking in the score field of the match card and entering their predicted score. Alternatively, Entrants can enter a score for each team, from 0-9. When they have entered a score for the home team, the cursor automatically moves to the away team.

Entrants have the option to auto-pick/auto-fill the results for all Featured Matches in a Matchweek, or the remaining Featured Matches they’ve not entered a scoreline for.

Before an entry can be submitted, a prediction must be made for ALL Featured Matches in the Matchweek. Your predictions for a Matchweek will not be valid unless you have entered a prediction for every Featured Match at the same time. You may alter any of your predictions for any Featured Match prior to the kick-off time for that Featured Match.

2.2.3 Matchweeks and Featured Matches

The Season Score Predictor is split into a series of Matchweeks.

Each Matchweek consists of up to 5 matches chosen by the Promoter (Featured Match(es)).

Featured Matches will only be English Premier League games.

A Matchweek commences when the first Featured Match is scheduled to kick-off and ends when the final Featured Match has concluded.

A new Matchweek opens for entries when the first Featured Match of the previous Matchweek has started.

2.2.4 Season duration

The Season Score Predictor competition will run for the duration of the 2024/25 Premier League Season, starting on 16 August 2024 and ending on 25 May 2025.

2.2.5 Scoring

2.2.5.1 Earning points

Points are awarded based on predictions made for each fixture.

Only normal time (i.e., 90 minutes and any relevant injury time) is counted.

2.2.5.2 Points

Points are awarded for the following:

PredictionPoints
Correct score bonus +3
Correct outcome+4
Home goals+1
Away goals+1
Score difference+1

All points are cumulative, meaning the maximum an Entrant can gain for each fixture is 10 points.

2.2.5.3 Points explained

Correct Score Bonus - If an exact score is predicted, the Entrant will earn a maximum 10pts - i.e. 7 points from all the categories below plus this additional 3 point bonus.

Correct Outcome - 4 points are awarded if the correct match outcome is predicted (home win, away win or draw). For example, a 1-0 prediction would earn the Entrant this bonus for any score which gives the home team a win.

Home Goals - 1 point is awarded if the Entrant predicts the correct number of goals scored by the home team.

Away Goals - 1 point is awarded if the Entrant predicts the correct number of goals scored by the away team.

Score Difference - 1 point is awarded if the Entrant correctly predicts the difference between the number goals scored by the home and away teams. For example, a 3-1 prediction (a difference of two) would earn this bonus if the final score is 2-0, 3-1, 4-2 etc. Please note that the difference must be in the correct ‘direction’ so, in the previous example, 0-2 would not earn points.

2.2.6 Leaderboards and Leagues

Entrants competing in Season Score Predictor appear in the Score Predictor Leaderboard, Club and National Leagues and optional Mini Leagues.

Unlike the Fantasy Game, Entrants are listed using their Name, not by a team name.

2.2.6.1 Leaderboard

Every Entrant is automatically entered into the overall Score Predictor Leaderboard, which runs throughout the Score Predictor Season.

The Score Predictor Leaderboard shows weekly scores and the cumulative season scores.

See 2.3 for information on the associated prize competitions.

2.2.6.2 Club and National leagues

Every Entrant is automatically entered into a ‘Club League’ and a ‘National League’, based on the Favourite Club and Country of Residence that was declared during the registration process.

It is not possible to switch from one Club League to another Club League or from one National league to another National League during the Fantasy Season.

The Promoter offers no prizes for Club or National Leagues.

2.2.6.3 Mini Leagues

Entrants are able to create and join free Mini Leagues at any point during the Regular Season. Once successfully registered for the Game, you have the option to become a Mini League Chair or to join an existing Mini League.

Chairs can create either a Public or Private Mini League, as follows:

  • A Public Mini League is one that any Entrant can join. These leagues do not require a PIN to enter and can be found via a search facility in the ‘League Hub’ section.
  • A Private Mini League is one that an Entrant can only join if they have a unique PIN number for that Mini League or followed a link directly from an invitation.

We do not accept any responsibility or liability regarding monies exchanged between Entrants in any Mini League.

2.2.6.4 Mini League scoring format

Entrants are ranked against each other in Mini Leagues, based on points accumulated during the Regular Season.

2.2.6.5 Creating Mini Leagues

There is no limit to the number of Mini Leagues can be created.

A Chair can create a Mini League up until the start of the last Matchweek of the Season.

The Mini League finishing date is after the final Featured Match of the Season.

All Mini Leagues created before the Season kicks off will default to start scoring from Matchweek 1.

Any Mini Leagues created post Matchweek 1 will start scoring from the next available Matchweek.

A Chair can select any future Matchweek for scoring to start up until the final Matchweek of the Regular Season.

Upon creation of a Mini League a Chair will need to set the following criteria:

League name - A name can be up to 30 characters. The Promoter reserves the right to change any name deemed inappropriate or, in extreme cases, to remove the league and expel the Chair.

Privacy setting - Select whether the Mini League is a Public (open to all comers) or a Private (invite only).

Max number of Entrants - By default this is ‘unlimited’, but it can be restricted.

2.2.6.6 Joining a Mini League

An Entrant may join a Public Mini League without any invitation. This can be done via the search facility available in the ‘League Hub’ section. No PIN is required upon joining.

To join a Private Mini League you will need to be invited by the Chair or be issued with the unique PIN of that Mini League. Entrants who follow the invite link from a direct invitation will not be required to enter the PIN.

There is no limit to the number of Mini Leagues an Entrant can join.

Entrants can join a Mini League after scoring has commenced. The Entrant’s total points earned before joining will be added to their league points immediately. New Entrants will begin on zero points.

2.2.6.7 Removing teams From a Mini League

Chairs may remove an Entrant from a mini-league at any time, before or after scoring has started. We accept no responsibility for the removal of any Managers from a Mini League and cannot reinstate any Managers who have been removed from a Mini League.

An Entrant may remove themselves from a mini-league. However, Chairs cannot remove themselves from a league if they are the only Entrant remaining.

A mini-league cannot be deleted.

End date is based on kick off of the first match of the season to give those who comp by date a chance to enter before the season starts. I'll change the date to the season's end on or about August 16th.
