UC moving savings to new account

If I move savings to a new account while claiming UC do I need to put through a change for this, I assume I do, will this affect the claim in anyway? The amount won’t change just the account number and bank. We have transitional protection moved from tax credits a month ago.
I asked in the journal and she said she can’t say until the change is done which is kind of too late! I don’t want the claim to close just because I move accounts,
thanks

No, no need to let them know that you are using a different account. I move my savings around a fair bit depending on what the rates are at the time, it doesn't make any difference to them. They are only interested in knowing when the amount of capital changes over the limits that they need to know about.2

Thanks that’s what I thought to but the person who replied on the journal said I need to put a change through for it. At the start of the claim we had to give account numbers so I think it might be because of that maybe? Or maybe what she said is wrong which wouldn’t surprise me everything else has been so far!Jyana said:No, no need to let them know that you are using a different account. Some of the worst advice is from DWP staff. All that matters is capital, what bank it's in is irrelevantkazzyb123 said:

When they reassess you, they will ask for the accounts. Just give them the ones you use.kazzyb123 said:
