Mouldy Carpet - Please Help!

We've been gone for a week over Christmas, and the windows haven't been opened. The bedroom window tends to have a lot of condensation, and today there's a patch of lightish coloured mould on the carpet beneath the window. Unfortunately two pairs of my shoes were also in that area, but since one pair doesn't fit and the other was a pair of flip flops I'm not too devastated. How do I clean the mould from the carpet?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Dry it out and then brush it.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

Go out and buy yourself a water trap - these are long deep plastic pots which has a grid thing on the top (don't know how to describe it) and in this lid you put some crystals to soak up the condensation. They work as I use them in my flat in the Winter time because I only get condensation then.
In the meantime, dry out your carpet and brush it to remove the mould and possibly spray with febreze to get rid of the smell.0 -
There is the possibility that spores in the carpet may lead to the mould coming back if it gets damp again.
If you have a Janitorial supplies near you see if they stock Prochem Clensan.
Failing that, try vacumming when dry and see if the mould is removed. I'd then suggest blotting the area with a *mild* Milton solution to kill the spores.
(As always, test the carpet in an inconspicuous place!)0
