My credit report is showing associations with my partner on a mortgage account that has been paid off 5 years ago.
They will not remove my association with my partner. He has bad credit and it is impacting my ability to borrow money.
I don't have any other joint accounts with him.
Help!!!

One agency might imply this, but that doesn't apply to the others. Similarly a lender might choose to disregard closed joint accounts - but that's their business choice.
Regardless of this, banks can have their own internal records on you which they may use to make lending/banking decisions - so whichever bank you had the joint mortgage with, could hold records advising not to lend for much longer.1
