Thank you Coupon-mad. I’m off today, so rewording an email to Enterprise! Nothing has been charged to my card yet and no PCN in the post so far either.1

So, after waiting until yesterday for the PCN to arrive (in my name) I finally have a good result! While I was waiting for the PCN, I had a reply from the restaurant, asking me to forward a copy of the notice when it arrived. I emailed it to them yesterday and have had a reply today to let me know that it has been cancelled. Yay!! Now I just need to send a copy of this to the car hire company and they will cancel the invoice they sent me for the ‘admin fee’ for passing my details to Smart Parking.Thought it was all done and dusted, until I received a second PCN today! This was for parking at the restaurant for ten minutes when I called in to see if they could get me a copy of my receipt!! Thankfully, this has now also been cancelled.Thank you all for your help towards the successful outcome!5

Very good news.
But don't go back there by car. They've lost your custom for good, thanks to Smart Parking ruining their business.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That’s the strange thing, there’s absolutely nothing else there. Nobody would have any reason to park there unless they were going to the restaurant 🤷♀️3

.... and you must let them know, whilst you thank them for having the PCNs cancelled WHY they have lost your business and it was the actions of the PPC that caused your decision.SeeTheDoughnut said:That’s the strange thing, there’s absolutely nothing else there. And perhaps a Tripadvisor review would be helpful.Le_Kirk said:Coupon-mad said:Very good news.

Thank you all so much for your help with this. I’ve had the admin fee cancelled now by the car hire company too, so finally all sorted! It’s such a shame, as I have fond memories of the restaurant from when the children were younger, but I certainly won’t risk going there again :-(4

I’m losing the plot with this now! The restaurant said they would cancel the second PCN with Smart Parking (the one when I went to ask for a copy of my receipt) Had a letter from Debt Recovery Plus today, saying I need to pay £170 or go to court. Have called them and they said it hasn’t been cancelled and that the restaurant don’t have the power to cancel it. They said that the restaurant can ask the landowner to ask Smart Parking to cancel it, but they don’t have to agree. They insist it’s a legal debt and I have to pay or go to court. Moral of the story? Just make your own nachos, don’t bother going out for them!0

Never have any contact with the debt collectors, no speaking to them, ignore them
Its not a debt that can be enforced unless a judge says so1
