Market-leading Ulster Bank 5.2% Loyalty Saver account to drop to 4.75%

This has been at or near the top of the easy access pile for some time but they're finally choosing the BoE base rate drop as the moment to drop the (£5k+) interest rate by 0.45% from 5.2% to 4.75% as from 14 October.

Still pretty competitive and lots of notice of the change so I'm sticking with them for now.

Ironic - I'd literally this morning logged (first time for months) to check the rate and was pleasantly surprised it was still 5.2......

Go and email from them 1 hour later!

Useful to have this highlighted in its own thread, given that it is (and has been for a while) the market-leading easy access account. It is easy to miss if you don't follow the "top accounts" threads closely. Thanks to the OP for posting this.
