Where to buy doors?

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me find some doors.
I've been all over google and the various DIY sites and cant find the answer.. i found some earlier this year and gave info to my OT but cant find them now, have lost my notes and cant find them again.

I am having a doorway widened for wheelchair access.
Due to the space in the room I need french/ twin/ pair of doors.  Not enough space when door is left open to have the extra wide door against wall and difficulty opening/ closing wider door so two french doors would work.
I also need the top part to be glass.. medical need PTSD/ Anxiety means a solid door just isnt an option.
The doorway width on the plans is 926mm

Can anyone please help me find doors or suggest somewhere i could look other than google / DIY stores.

Thanks Robin.. I think that would have to be last resort as I am on a very restricted budget .. but a really good safety net i hadn't thought of.

I entered 930mm French doors on google and a number of sites came up include Todd doors and Wickes. as well as others, They are mostly all glazed or have top third glazed so you should be able to find something that joiner can work with.

You could maybe try Remap to see if they could help? It might be a bit of a tame project for them, but they'd likely have the skills (and you might end up with a fancy gadget to help you get them open and shut as well)

    Thanks both..
Gwynlas do you have a name of a wickes one at that width please?  I just cant find them.  The Todd doors were way beyond a budget i could afford.  I copied your google terms an dvarious variations but keep getting much wider french doors or single doors of that width

Kimwp .. oh a door opening gadget would be great ;-).. i hadnt thought of remap ..

im keeping an eye on used on ebay  local area/ fb marketplace too

LPD Doors are one of the big manufacturers. Look at their website for what you want then seek out a supplier (you can't buy direct).

I'd still contact a couple of carpenters to get a supply and fit quote. They will do all the necessary measurements, which is more than just one width measurement. New doors and windows can be tricky and often require some kind of adjustment rather than just hang up easily. You may need adjustments made for the flooring they are going over etc. You also have to factor in cost of handles etc.

The guy who did my external double glazed door was telling me of a customer who bought a upvc door from B&Q because it was cheaper than the one he quoted for. He then had to spend quite some time working on it as it didn't fit as a made to measure door would have. Ended up she saved no money and with a slightly inferior quality door.

I'm in SE England and just had a local carpenter in for supply and fit of a pair of fully glazed frosted glass French doors roughly 1300mm and fully glazed frosted glass single door with all hardware. It came to £1000 so as a rough calc take out the single door and it worked out £700 all in. The carpenter was recommended to me based on his work rather than working to a tight budget so you may well manage to obtain a cheaper quote.

I would wait until the doorway has been constructed and then measure it because 926mm is a very non standard size given that UK doors tend to reflect the historic imperial measurements, not metric, and so go up in whole inch increments

you need to confirm the height and the door thickness, not just width. You also need to be sure that dimension includes the frame, or is it literally the raw opening?

926mm is equivalent to 36.46 inches or 36 & 23/50ths which is a nonsense size
915mm on the other hand is a standard size: 36 inch

Wickes french doors are 915mm and there are countless other suppliers at that size

and there are countless other suppliers at that size, random example being this one:

    Thank you everyone

The work is being done to make the door wider by a 'disabled facilities grant' so its being done by the council.. they get quotes and send someone and dictate pretty much everything.. so i havent had a say in the width ... i assumed it was a standard ?  however i think the builders / OT from council may have some discretion when actually making the current door bigger.

The plan says we will supply the doors but the builder will fit them .. which to be honest is news to me and was a last resort as they were tryng to put one in that wasnt glazed and i panicked as its a ptsd nono for me even thinking about it.  Equally french doors so i can still have a small dining table as the room doesnt have space for a wider door and my table but i use it a lot... the problem with wheelchairs is i need a lot of empty floor space to move round

I am hoping to find doors that i can then show to OT and ask to get worked into the quotes..

Unfortuantely a price label of a £700 ish door just isnt an option... social care isnt free and the council take any money over the  ' minimum income guarantee' as a contribution.. so we count as 'low income' and its pretty expensive being disabled already.. t

so i am really hoping they will put a door in the grant and it wont be an additional cost.. or at least pay part of it and Dad has offered to help me top the rest up... so it is a budget thing.  I am all over ebay and FB marketplace too looking for used...

Right off to follow up on the info above.. thanks everyone

EDIT :   Success -  found LPD french doors , half glazed on Bradfords website and have sent details over to the OT
