Hi could someone please help me with my problem with this hard drive.
I have just got a Medion MD90084 500gb External hard drive.
The hard drive gos into sleep mode when not in use.
My one dose this alot but I can't seem to wake it up? I have to turn the hard drive off and then back on again.
If I do not do that I can’t see any of my files on the hard drive just the folders?
Is there away that I can stop it going to sleep? or is there something I can do to wake it up?
I have connected the hard drive by USB and on windows XP
Thanks for any help.
Kev

Why not give them a call on Monday: http://www.medion.co.uk/ look under 'Service and Support' for contact details. I'm sure they'll be able to assist if you don't get any joy from this forum. There's also a link to download a manual under 'Drivers and Updates' which may help.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0
