I've to get a company to work out my average monthly  wage using 3 months worth of  wage slips, they got it wrong

ive supplied them with only 2 wage slips as it's a new job
I started mid month and did 24hrs, the next month I did 40hrs .
I'm paid every 4weeks.
I work 10hrs  a week at 11.44an hour
 min wage

what is my average  monthly wage since I've started . can it be done ?using one full 4week wage and one partial 12days wage the month before

thinking caps on folks, show workings please

I get that that's my contracted hours. but they say they won't use the. contract, they need the true hours worked. averaged out then worked out per month ave

eg 64 hours (my two wage slips)out of a possible 520 annual hours
they simply used my partial first month and used that as my average full month!!
and also my second wage 4 week had tax rebate in it to

    wife has same problem too

Your monthly earnings would be £495.73

    £11.44 x 10 hours/week = £114.40/week

    £114.40 x 52 weeks = £5,948.80/year

    £5,948.80 ÷ 12 months = £495.73/monthly

This is £457.60 every 4 weeks.

dazed and confused, I get that that is my contracted hours,

that is what I also worked  out when I took the job on, the monthly and the 4 week wage
but the company says it won't use contract, it  should be using real time hours 64 hours out of a possible 520 yearly total
and they should not be using a tax rebate as the normal as well, they have to ignore the tax rebate.
like I said they have ignored my second slip for 4 weeks and used the first slip which was only for 24 hrs and used that as ave monthly wage, unbelievable

i have to call them morro and tell them to work it out, but they will say we can't do it on 64 hours , one full 4 week wage and one partial months wage.

I've to tell them they don't need 3 months or 12 weeks , they can do it on 64 hours worked and ignore tax refund in month 2 slip

No one can calculate that without knowing how long the first pay period was deemed to have covered.

I started mid month and did 24hrs, the next month I did 40hrs

first period covered 17:days less 5 days lying time, hence 24 hours or 12 days and was fully paid up to the pay date at end of month28 June, start date 6june

    wage slip shows 24:hrs worked

    second slip 40 hrs till 26:July 4'weeks

this company that needs to work out my average wage also knows the date I started the job, eg 6 june and they have seen my contract of employment, eg 10 hrs a week at £11.44 a week paid every 4 weeks.

what exactly do I tell them

I need to tell them they can use the two payslips as it covers two pay periods of the same hourly rate and to also ignore tax rebate  from error in tax code from previous employer as that is a lump sum one off , it does not affect ave hours worked in my current employer

I need to be able to explain to them today that they can easily work out my average wage based on the 2 wage slips I've gave them and they also know my contract of employment

They have asked for 3 and you provided 2 therefore they are doing their calculations based on what you provided not what they asked for.

Hardly surprising they may have got it wrong. Supply the 3rd as they asked and see what happens then

I I am sure 3 is t just a number they plucked out of the ether

Depends who/why an average monthly is required. Starting half way through a month will massively skew that data if you have only worked one half and one full month

The calculation will total pay received divided by number of months worked

I am going to explain that the first month was 17;days less weeks lying time.
the second wage slip was a true  full 4 weeks, which they can multiply by 13 and divide by 12.
I will not being able to give the 3 full clear wage slips for another 2 months.
thus they need the figures today to proceed.
where I will use and explain the figures dazed and confused posted

holidays have not been taken nor come into the take home pay calculation.( the figures above I fully agree with)

NOTE, I now know where the company went wrong with wife's AVE wage,

it is cos she has 2 part time jobs and the first job was using her normal full tax allowance and paying no tax.(before she took on her second part time job.)

but she started a second job not too long ago and in her first wage she was taxed at BR.
thus low wage that month, on contacting HMRC she split her tax allowance into her 2 jobs, now she pays no tax in either job.

but she sent 3 wage slips for second job, one was at BR code the other 2 at £6000 allowance.

this company has added up the 3 and divided by 3 resulting in a wrong apparent low average wage per month.

I am going to have to explain to them to disregard the first wage slip at BR code and just use the other 2 to get an average wage, which will give an accurate result,

but  as I explained her other first  job  uses the remainder of the unused tax allowance and where for a reason I have not figured out yet also resulted in a wrong low average wage calculation despite sending 3 wage slips in for that job
how do I explain all this

NOTE, this company is actually a debt charity who is submitting our debt relief order to the insolvency service, and we are refusing to sign it , as it's a legal truthful document, until they get their figures correct, but it seems the can't do their sums
( normally they use 3 regular last pay slips, but we have obviously can't do that or have anomalies in ours where they are getting bamboozled and not figuring things out the way we are figuring things out here in this discussion)

There's slightly over 52 weeks in a year though
