How can I prove my parcel wasn’t delivered?

I ordered a plastic storage box online.
A logistics company was delivering it (none of the usual ones) and they arrived as scheduled.
The driver said he didn’t have our parcel as the only thing he had left on his truck was a parcel saying 2 of 2 and we were only getting 1 item. He said he had mis delivered at the previous address too as he’d given them parcel 1 of 2!
He said there was nothing to sign as the only paperwork he had belonged to the package on his van.
He apologised, explained a new date would be scheduled and he left.
3 weeks later and I have been told the package had been delivered and someone had signed for it (it’s been signed with my surname).
The driver also took a picture of the house but it won’t have a parcel in the shot!!
I am going around in circles with the store as I’m speaking to a new person every time I call.
I didn’t see or speak to the driver, it was my husband but as soon as he came inside I did an online chat with the store to tell them what happened.
I have asked for another item to be dispatched but I am told they need to locate my item first.
Surely this isn’t right?
Please can anyone help me?
Thank you

Need to deal with the retailer. You say the PROOF OF DELIVERY pic was of a house but not yours. Could take a picture of your house/door step and email to the retailer. It's the retailes responsibility to ensure goods are delivered. They would need to make a DoR (Denial of Receipt) claim with the courier and either refund you or send a replacement. If they don't play ball, you might be able to claim with you bank/credit card although that is normally for £100 plus but also a last resort.
I do not see why this order should delay future orders. By the way, a lot of couriers now have GPS showing where items where delivered. If it's gone to the wrong address
, the retailer will need to deal with it.0
