Private Parking Fine

Hi everyone,
I got a private parking charge fee in 2019 but have been ignoring letters sent from Civil Enforcement Ltd as was advised to do so as it was on private land however they've now sent a letter saying they've moved it onto a solicitors. I live in Scotland but Solicitors is registered in England and Wales. I again have been given advice to ignore but I was hoping someone on here could confirm what I should do.

It is not a fine.
Make sure CEL know the keeper resides in Scotland, and that any claim must be made against the unidentified driver since the keeper cannot be held liable and is outside the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If CEL try to issue a claim against the keeper, it must be via the Scottish Sheriffs court using the Scottish Act of Sederunt/Simple Procedure, again because the keeper lives outside the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. It is extremely unlikely that they will try this (although they may threaten to) because they cannot claim expenses for under £300, and must bear their own costs.
Which solicitors?I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Same as this one earlier today. Did you miss it when reading the threads for similar questions already answered? You can relax:

There's no potential court claim because the alleged contract occurred in Scotland and/or you stay in Scotland. A court claim in the English courts won't happen.
But the law is changing and a statutory regime will apply next year. Search the forum for:
Scotland parking law change 2025PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
