How do I find out where this money came from?

I've had a small amount of money ( £10.26)paid into my account and I have no idea who it is from or what it's for how do I find out? The bank details say "SSL master account" I have not a clue who this is. I haven't sent anything back for refund for months and I'm not expecting money

Wait a few days and see whether a letter or email turns up to explain it.

No further ideas? I discover they sent me £40.46 in July and then £10.26 this month.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THEY ARE OR WHY THEY SEND ME MONEY
Somebody please help, this money may be due to someone else who needs it or they may be paying me for something I am inadvertently supplying ( I have no idea what that might be)
  • If it is Bambora they may well be the payment conduit for someone else. For instance if the company you work for uses Concur for expense reimbursement I think Concur use Bambora to make any payments due to the employee

Ring the bank and tell them you don't recognise the payments. Don't worry about it too much. If the payments need reversing, have the bank do it. Do not transfer any money yourself (returning payments is a known scam).

The bank won't know anything or if it does it won't say. The amounts are trivial, I'd leave it. There's probably an obvious explanation.

We use Concur to process expenses but payments are made by our normal bank, makes it so much easier!

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
