Is it possible to disable this? Firefox is so laggy, it's really frustrating.
If it is possible how is it done?
Thanks

AFAIK you can't disable it completely, you have to disable each program (app).
Is this icon what you are seeing in Task Manager?

Open Firefox and type about:config in the address bar. (you might get a warning that you need to accept).
Copy and paste the embolden dom.ipc.processPriorityManager.backgroundUsesEcoQoS into the search bar under the address bar
Double click True so it changes to false, after you have done that restart Firefox and check Task Manager

Fab - many thanks, your help is much appreciated. The wee symbol has gone and, I hope, the lagging too.
