In the near future my wife and I will need to open a new joint account.

Starling looks like a good choice but I have a query that Starling have failed to answer:

Can I manage a Starling Joint account using a PC based web browser or do I have to use their app?

For me it still needs the use of a smart phone with the mobile app to log into the Starling online banking.

So whilst it allow for big screen use, it is not totally independent of the mobile app.

There is a web interface but you need to have the app in order to log in to it. Also, if you want to set up a joint account you will each need to open a separate individual account first and then you can open a joint account. Be aware AFAIK joint current accounts with Starling aren't eligible for an overdraft facility.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I spotted the issue of having to open individual accounts first, before you can open a joint account. A bit of a faff.

Not massively because then opening the joint account takes seconds.
