Home insurance - declaring bankruptcy from 2006 for a quote in 2024?

Hi everyone,
Wondering if you can help me please.
I need to renew our home insurance, and in 2006 my husband was bankrupt. I know this is removed from his record as it was so long ago, however when applying for home insurance, the damn question "has anyone ever been bankrupt" i have to tick yes don't I? Otherwise they'd decline a claim, if ever one was made.
Just wanted to triple check this with you, and if so, anyone recommend a site that doesn't ask this question for a quote? Many thanks.

Doubt you'll find any company that doesn't either ask it or have it stated as an assumption.
That said, Nationwide only ask about the last 5 years0
