Close Barclaycard or keep it open?

in Credit cards
Hi all,
A couple of months ago I opened a Barclaycard to do a 0% balance transfer. However, there was a delay in processing my application and I ended up transferring my balance to a different card. The window for the Barclays offer has now closed and I haven't used the Barclaycard at all.
I will want to do another balance transfer next year. Is it better to close the Barclaycard or are they likely to send me offers? I'm unsure of the impact of an unused £7K card on my ability to get future 0% cards too.
Thanks,
Zedonk

Barclays do offer me offers at the moment, have had some periods without then back on again, typically 3.3% and 18 months. I have a 0% balance though so might affect it.
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I would keep it, use it and pay off in full. You've taken the hit for the application.Barlcays are pretty good with 0% offers.1

Not a bad idea from Maxximus.........but if you are not using it in that way it is probably better to close it down so it is one less source of credit to track.0

On the one hand, Barclaycard seem good at offering 0% deals on existing cards.
On the other hand, they won't let you have multiple cards right now. So if you want to take advantage of a good sign up offer, you're best off closing it.0
