Hi.
My Mother without no real notice passed away from cancer earlier this week.
She showed no visible signs until about 48 hrs before her passing, although the docs said she must have known as there would have been.
Anyway. I have a flight booked to Cyprus with BA in September.
Needless to say I wont be going.
Do BA have a bereavement refund policy if a family member passes away?.
If so can you give me any pointers as to where to start.
Many thanks.

So sorry to hear about your loss.
Would this not be covered by your travel insurance?Otherwise unless you bought a refundable flight, which I’m guessing you didn’t, maybe the best you can hope for us to move the date? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Sorry for your loss.
You'll need to call BA according to their FAQs https://ukprepin.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8876/

Sorry for your loss but unless there are major problems organising funeral you should still be able to go away in September. A break from routine even if not a fun holiday would be good for you.3

My father passed away a few years ago in September. I was actually going to be away on the anniversary date.
Now with my mother passing the last thing I want to do is to be on a beach in Cyprus just thinking about the both of them and feeling guilty.
If I can't claim the air fare back then fine. I'll just leave it. It was a business class seat at +£800 which is why I am looking for info.

If you could ask mum now what you should do, do you think she would have said 'Cancel your holiday'.3 -
I agree.Seems to me it's the perfect way for you to celebrate their lives.0
