Nationwide Credit Card - SOLVED

Call me an idiot (I know some will) but does anyone use Nationwide's app and understand their credit card statements? On the app and even if you download the PDF of the statement, its not really clear (and this is more than likely me not understanding) when the charges start and when they end.
I pay off the card in full every month. But, I like to look at how they got to that figure so I can work out what I bought that month. But I struggle to make it add up.
Last month was large which I was expecting, paid off in full. This month equally large, which was surprised about but ready to pay off in full. But this month, with the statement they've given me, I can't make it add up. With all purchases since I paid last months, I've added this up to be about £500 on the statement, but the statement is £1400.
So, is there a clear date when you start to take a note "Right, this will be on next months bill and this large transaction will be the end of next months bill".

So not a stupid question as just found info on Money Saving Expert main site.I get it now. I would still argue its not very clear. On my statement for June I needed to pay by 21st June. I paid on the 14th June. That got me thinking that anything past 21st June would be on next statement. But its not.On their statement online, the statement is read from the top to the bottom for the last transaction for that statement. On their app you read it from the bottom to the top. The top being the last tranaction for that month statement.During that statement period though, it will show you paying last months statement. This doesn't mean that's where the new statement starts. Its just the way they show it.I'd like an app that shows you all the transactions for that statement month with another column showing you want month statement its for. Again, maybe easy for some but for others like me, its not always easy to read or understand.0

Why are you doing this?
Just set up dd to pay in full, better for credit record too.

If your initial interpretation was right, when would you pay for items that you bought between a statement being produced and the payment due date? By your reckoning they wouldn't appear anywhere.
Most cards have a statement date that doesn't vary much, let's say the 28th for the sake of argument. So your statement on 28th July would include all items posted to your account from 29th June up until 28th July including your direct debit payment on 14th July for your June statement.0
