A legit but not very trusted website wants my card details and (more worryingly) my address for an access to their service. The service is free, they say they just debit £1 and then refund it, to filter out spammers. In reality, they are likely to be the real spammers here, I am sure I will find tons of waste mail on my door mat once they have my address.

Revolut provides single-use debit cards but...  with my read address attached to it. Not very smart, eh?

So, where I can get a virtual single use debit card with virtual number and virtual address?

If they do a check on your card number and it's a fake address, they will reject it

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

So are they legit or untrustworthy ?  The two are usually mutually exclusive.
How vital or unique is the service they're offering?  If you have any doubts, can you not just go elsewhere instead?

    > So are they legit or untrustworthy?

    Something in the middle

    > The two are usually mutually exclusive.

    I would disagree

    > How vital or unique is the service they're offering?

     I need their service

     > If you have any doubts, can you not just go elsewhere instead?

No. Sadly there is almost no competition in that sector.

  • You could use a prepaid mastercard, the sort which you buy in a supermarket or WHSmith and has an activation fee.

You may be able to purchase a virtual card like this through perks at work or similar.

Then you can use any real address.

Is this a site where they need the CC as a form of age verification because of legal restrictions on the access to the service they provide?
Any site that offers their service for free has to make money from advertising and / or marketing mails.  I suspect marketing e-mails are far more likely than hard copy junk mail sent by post.
Address verification is common with online purchases as part of the CC security process.
