My IVA and my partner's morgage

Hi all,

Quick question for any who have had an IVA - would me taking one affect my wife's ability or rates in a remortgage situation? The house is hers and our finances are separate apart from a joint bills account.

I'm concerned that the IVA might show up as a flag on the address  during a remortgage - is that an issue?

Many thanks

I don’t know if the financial link via the joint account might impact on your partner?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Have you decided despite all the advice to the contrary to go ahead with an IVA?

Slightly loaded query, but appreciate the interest. I've appreciated the advice and am still deciding, also in conjunction with chatting to independent sources.

If you are financially linked by a joint current account then the answer is yes
