Football match tickets

Hey, can anyone tell me best place to buy tickets for a footy match , it’s really soon-10 Aug.  The other teams tickets are much cheaper but our team is 5 times the price.  Surprise for my sons and husband and have never bought footy tickets before so please hit me with your suggestions, thank you

If it's Man U at Wembley (as on your other thread), those are going to be pricey tickets.

Personally I'd buy off the original vendor to avoid issues with fakes etc., which will limit any possible discounts.
  • I agree with Emmia, you'll have to go through the official channels - Man Utd website or at their ticket office(s).  Avoid ticket touts as they'll be even more pricey and risk of fakes.

According to the official Man Utd site, their original allocation of tickets are now sold out and an additional set only appear to be available to season ticket holders or Executive Club members.

As other's have said, I wouldn't risk buying them on the black market as there's a good chance they'll either be refused entry or end up in the wrong end.

Hi - I was going to buy via Stub Hub, they have a 100% order guarantee so I'm hoping this protects me against fakes?  thanks

That's lovely until your recipients turn up and are denied entry... You'll get the money back (probably) but it would be disappointing for the recipients.

Clubs monitor sites for resale of tickets. I have seen Man U fans being banned for 1 year for a first offence for touting.
I know with my club it’s difficult to get tickets and we have ID checks for away games and you can lose all of your accumulated points if caught.
If the person who sold to 3rd parties are caught out, the ticket will be cancelled and while you get your money back, you’ll have the costs and inconvenience of going to a football turnstile.
