Seller getting ratty about me collecting an item!

    . . .Just to let everyone know the Seller's wife had the machine all packed safely  in the original Tandberg box and I'd no problem over collection – she was very courteous with me about it – her husband was out at the time we collected it!

    . . .The only problem we had was my friend taking the inevitable wrong turnings in Bristol's suburbs and a long slow crawl in traffic jams back up the M5 from Gloucester to Walsall!

    As someone who occasionally sells collection only items, I'd rather have heard about your transport trials and tribulations before you placed a bid rather than after. I can totally understand the seller's frustration; IME a line like "Hello M8, I live 100 miles away from you, I just need to organise a lift" is invariably followed in short order by a no show.

    I very rarely sell anything CO these days; only stuff that has 100% chance of being smashed to bits by the parcel monkeys irrespective of how well you wrap it goes that way now.
