Change to title deeds Scotland

Options
I've recently become a widower. My wife and i owned our house jointly but without a survivorship clause in the deeds, meaning i need to go through some formalities to take on complete ownership of the property.

One of those formalities is changing the title deeds to reflect my name alone. There is no guidance on the land register website, simply "consult a solicitor". I don't have a lot of money so i thought i'd ask here if anyone has anyone any advice / guidance.

many thanks

I see you have another thread about getting Confirmation for her estate. You don't need to register anything at the
Land Register just now though, you can just use the Confirmation as a link in title whenever you sell etc.

Thanks for that. Will it make things complicated for my kids, if for example i don't sell and i die at some point and they want to sell the house?
