Hi, bought an iron from ASDA, it stopped work, took it back, both a refund and exchange were refused as I didnt have the iron's instruction booklet .
Is this legal , who keeps that stuff

ASDA's returns policy probably says you must return with all original packaging etc.
You need to make it clear that you are claiming under your consumer rights if that is what you want to do.
What your specific rights are depends on the precise number of days between purchase and when you make a claim. Your rights also depend on whether the fault was present when you bought the iron.1 -
