Answer = Baseball Softball

(Photo is definitely Baseball. Baseball Softball is not at the 2024 games. It was included in 2020 and will return in 2028. Cricket has not been in the Olympics since 1900, but T20 is scheduled to be included in 2028)

ETA  The comp stresses "We are only looking for the sport category, not the specific sport", so the answer should be Baseball Softball which is the sport governed by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), but Baseball may well be an acceptable answer.

Other sports that may have less obvious sports categories include:
Windsurfing & Kiteboarding come under Sailing
Swimming, Diving, Water Polo all come under Aquatics
Dressage, Eventing, Show Jumping all come under Equestrian
Road Cycling, Track Cycling, Mountain Biking and BMX all come under Cycling
Race Walking comes under Athletics

Definitely not cricket. Both baseball and softball have been Olympic sports at one time or other.

EDIT: Softball seems to be played with a yellow ball and baseball white. I'm inclined to go with Baseball as the answer.
