Not much happening here today - am off to work in just over an hour, currently working on a phased return so half days this week and next.
Hope dp1's DGD continues to improve, that MrsMehefin is more comfortable, and AA's dad keeps on behaving with that new knee.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Pinch punch. Thanks for starting us off @Floss.Outside is very grey, lots of low lying cloud though sunshine is promised. Yesterday turned into a very lovely day though a nasty wee wind arrived later. I dropped off some unwanted essential oils to a really pleasant woman in the next village, went on to do a very quick shopping trip and then back down to have a chat with a friend who lives halfway between big town and my field. In between all this tooing and frooing my physio emailed me an appointment for the steroid injection, right at the end of August. 😀 The head physio does it a the local medical centre so that's practically perfect.I'll be doing part of the monthly banking today, some things don't kick in until tomorrow so I'll do the first bits. Other than that it'll be weather and sport dependent. Either could send me outside or keep me inside.Lots of healing thoughts are leaving me for all our poorlies or poorly loved ones. 💕💕 @DP1 - have a wonderful time in Germany. Once you're out of the hell of Frankfurt airport (I'll be there at the end of the month) the rest will be great.11

Thanks Floss for starting.DP1 - have a lovely holiday - best wishes for little one’s continued improvement whilst you’re away. Thanks for all the good wishes for DDad’s knee - a much better day yesterday! Taff - thanks, I hadn’t really considered myself a carer of any type, however I can see it’s going that way and it’s hard! I don’t have any siblings and no other relatives (neither DDad or DMum have siblings either) so it can be quite lonely and isolating.Anyway in amongst everything else DMum and I are tackling two huge planters today - currently half barrels that have rotted, yesterday saw the purchase of two new pots and things need to be moved - the bonus being that the job is on my lost so I’ll be able to cross it off 🙌
There is some thunderstorms forecast though whether they’ll hit us is yet to be seen.Gers - good news re the injection
Mehefin - such awful news - I hope you and MrsM can start getting some answers - cancer care in my area is fantastic, and quick so I Hope this is the same for you too.Take care all

Morning allLooks very grey out there at the moment. According to the weather forecast it should warm up later but not alot of sunshine and 20% chance of a shower. Do I water the garden this morning or not. Decisions. decisions.Dusting, hoovering and mopping this morning and this afternoon a physio appointment re my knees, which aren't giving me too much trouble at the moment but I'll probably be given some exercises to use when they do!Hugs to all who are troubled at the moment. Enjoy your visit DP1 and hope you come home to better news.Have a good day all x9

Good morning, thanks for starting Floss, hope work goes ok.
It's grey and damp here, yesterday turned into a nice day after an uncertain start.
Glad you've finally had your MRI results Gers, and an appt for the steroid injection.
I've got to stay in today , waiting for a phone call from the Dr, I have no idea of any approximate time, just that It'll be after 9.30, but I have jobs that I can do to keep me occupied.
Enjoy your holiday Dp1.
Thinking of the poorly relatives, and their families.
Take care folks11 -
Morning all
Mehefin I am so sorry to hear about Mrs M’s diagnosis hopefully they will get on it quick and be able to help her xxx
Off to collect Rob this morning and take him to work it was so hot in the cafe yesterday I had forgotten how hot it gets in there during the summer, I am still glad to be able to leave when I want to 😬
Its a bit overcast here this morning but we are promised some sun later I have put a wash on this morning which I will hang out before work.
Dinner tonight is yet to be decided I will go and look in the freezer after this nothing too time consuming or standing above the oven though.
I have been watching the swimming/diving on the olympics which I love, what power those people have!Have good days all and take care xx8 -

I don’t have any siblings and no other relatives (neither DDad or DMum have siblings either) so it can be quite lonely and isolating.I was in the very same position with my now late DMum - I cared for her for over three years, including during lockdowns. I visited her one day in 2018 and didn't get back home until she died in May 2021. It was extremely isolating and lonely although also a great privilege. Despite the tough times I am so glad that I was able to look after her. There was no help for carers at the time, I once asked Social Services for a respite break and was told it would take eight weeks to process but they were short staffed so I probably wouldn't get it!Bear in mind that you are caring for your DDad as he cared for you as a child (I hope!). Love goes both ways. One day you will look back and be grateful - honestly!

Morning all. Feel absolutely exhausted today. Making tea and sarnies is hard work
And I got it wrong yesterday, I didnt have an appointment, it's today...d'oh! OH got absolutely plastered last night at his club, so cue me rescuing him, and then trying to stop him walking out over a two foot drop because he forgot it was there, then trying to go to a toilet that also wasn't there...Sometimes I could just slap him. I bet he's feeling like poo in work right now though so the evil part of me is thinking, good! They're cracking on with the build anyway, the concrete went in yesterday. this weekend is going to have to be a good sort out, there's stuff everywhere, and the plants need a good watering [ maybe later on] too...It was supposed ot be thunderstorms today, we've just had a shower and now the sun is properly out already...
I hope everyone has a good day, mehefin, thoughts are with you..Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi8 -
Morning everyone DP1 enjoy your holiday I know you are worried about the little one but she sounds like she,is improving and she will want to know what you have been up to when you get back . AA like Gers said until you are a carer no one knows how hard it is hopefully you will be able to get some help . I’m off out to do a cleaning job in a minute it’s rainy here and forcast for showers all day the little dog has been out and is curled up in her bed snoring she must be tired because she’s normally pestering me .nothing much happening here just housework and I need to call for bread . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Good morning all
Thank you for the start @Floss
AA I was my lovely DH's carer. No-one can understand what it's like until they experience it themselves. Try Age UK for help.
Going to walk and talk this morning, looks like rain.
Hugs to all those who want or need one
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.11
