I have to say I have a Kia Nero in my household and consider it a hateful car but I guess I drive old cars and don't appreciate the range anxiety the soggy suspension , poor heating etc. I go straight to my 2003 Golf GTi every time.

Personally I think buying new tech is always a massive risk, if better batteries etc come out etc by the time the range is compare on a 3 year old car its quite a gap. I think the range already feels down on our 2023.

I took the plunge 3 weeks ago.
    Retired but doing a lot of 10/15 mile journeys,2 x a day,mainly village/town journeys with a bit of A road in-between.
Had a diesel so mpg would yo yo and cost £50 ISH a week.
Phoned up EDf (who I was with) and it would be 9p kWh tariff off peak and 23p peak, as long as I used 50% of overall usage.
Have used a granny with a tough leads extension each night for 2 lots of 2 hours charges, takes from 50 ISH % up to 80 ISH.In rented and landlord is being funny about having a Home charger.
Have gone for a few 100 plus mile trips and just drop into a supercharger on way back for a top up.
Overall have done 956 miles with home charge cost £26 ,  plus £23 supercharger.
Yes during the cold snap range and kWh dropped but nothing that is worrying.
I find the drive is great,so quiet and smooth, yes possibly be more road aware with regen braking, hardly ever use brakes.
Insurance/service etc all cheaper to boot.

E-Niro is good for 300 miles. That is what I'm getting even now.
Lowest ever seen @100% was 290 last January. Not bad for a 2021 car.
