How can it be when it's still using April's prices? Apparently they are "busy" updating it with the July price cap. Can't be that busy seeing as that happened a month ago......... :/

You can put your info in but what it spews out will probably be wrong because it's working with out of date figures.

Do you subscribe to the newsletter? The latest one got sent out last night, and it is strongly suggesting that now is probably a good time to fix.

Yes I saw that. My Octopus offer of fix is a slight increase in tarriffs both gas and elec, . Do you just take your annual projected usage for a year and add on 10%. In my case £712 with fix £721 per yr. Help please

I too got the email and the figures on the comparison are totally incorrect.  I did the same comparison on moneysupermarket and "outfox the Market's" own websites and they were correct.  This is not really good enough when sending out a mass mailing!

We answered that question on your other thread.

The current MSE club website states:
    1 October: Estimated rough PREDICTION£1,900+2%

Whereas the email talks about a 9% prediction.  The comparison site is still stuck on 2% prediction

Sorry - the formatting of my cut and paste was awful.  Here is what the site says:

If I stay on the price cap it is predicting a 2% rise in October whereas the whole thrust of the article talks about a predicted 10% rise in October.  Also,  When I dig into the details of the actual tarrif it is a little different to Moneysupermarkets own site and also Outfox the markets own site (I just switched to their 1 year fix).

But that's a different thing from the Should I Fix Calculator the op was on about, which I already pointed out is working with out of date data. The Cheap Energy Club thing I've never been able to get to work tbh.

The rise in October is 10% btw. 9% is the average for the next 12 months.
