Ebay - Global Shipping Programme - Item Damaged in Transit

Hello
Im looking for some advice on the following.
I am a private ebay seller in England. I sold an item (£255) through the Global shipping programme. The buyer has opened up a return request with the reason 'item is defective'. I have the following options available to me.
1. Accept the return
2. Give a full refund
3. offer partial refund
4. send the buyer a message
Im unsure how the claim for damaged in transit would work and how I can make a claim. I dont want to select the wrong option. I also have a video of the item fully working before I shipped.

If your item was well packaged then ebay should take the loss.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
