Renewing Car Insurance & Moving house
I'm trying to renew my car insurance and have a number of options for policies. But I'm hoping to move house within in the next year. The new house is in a place where car insurance is more expensive. So the cheapest policies where I am now turn out to be very expensive in the new location. I'm not sure what to do. Whether to go for a cheap policy now and hope they don't bump the price up too much in the first year when I change my address, or go for a slightly more expensive policy, that is quoting a more reasonable rate at the other address, and a reasonable rate for changes to the policy.
Do others have experience of this please?
My insurance isn't silly money, but I don't have a lot to spare.
(BTW, the reduction in house prices far outweigh the increase in car insurance prices.)

There is no guarantee the risk rating of the new address will be the same in 3/6/9 months, so comparing prices between the two addresses now is likely to be futile.0
