Bathroom renovation

Currently having the bathroom renovated. We went with some tradespeople we thought had shown the most innovation in doing the work. They proposed knocking some of the room about to get the most room for the shower and moving the toilet to allow for room for the bath. The quote included the key details like moving the toilet.
However now the work has begun they had realised they can't knock parts of the room out for a replacement shower, meaning what was ordered is now too big for the corner, so it's now a challenge trying to find one that will get the height required. And they've realised because the floor below is a porch with plastic roof, they can't access the waste pipe to move the toilet as planned. Consequently the bath is now being squeezed next to the toilet, and there may not be the room to get the taps in the middle of the bath as illustrated.
While we've said we're happy to accomodate what needs to be done to make it work, seeing the furniture arrive, it is starting to look less like what we had discussed and been quoted for. The delays in re-ordering products is also now going from a two-week job to longer, leaving us without a proper toilet, sink or shower.
Where do I stand in trying to get the right bathroom for us?

I'd suggest sitting, not standing, and having a good talk-through.Other than that, no idea - you could always sack them.Do you have LegProt on your house insurance? If so, and things become messy, you may need to call them.Really, they should have surveyed the room properly beforehand. Yes, some things will only become clear after work begins, but knowing in advance whether they can 'knock part of a room about' should really have been foreseen. Not being able to move a drain might have been less easy to anticipate - we cannot tell from this side of the screen.Could you provide more info? Their proposed plans, and what is happening now? Photos? In short, if they really cannot give you what you originally wanted, then could anyone else? If not, then I guess you will just have to compromise, I think. What a pain :-(0
