Insurance that covers connecting flights?

Hi, I often travel in Europe and sometime take flights with 2 legs where I self-book the 2 legs of the flight with 2 different companies. I am looking for a travel insurance that covers connecting flights, i.e. if I cannot get into the second flight because of delays on the first flight I would like to be covered. Any suggestion? Thank you

You’re looking for consequential loss, but I struggled to find a policy when I was looking. Mainly because it means looking at the terms for each policy in turn, which takes a ridiculous amount of time. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Thank you for your reply. Yeah, that is why I was asking here. I checked a couple of travel insurances and connecting flights were not covered, so I thought I might ask here in case someone has already looked for it and found an insurance that covers it.

I once managed to argue that "connecting flight" should be treated as "public transport", and if it fails it should be treated as failure of public transport to get me to the airport on time. They acceped that reasoning but then they found something else and rejected my claim0

I have not found anything either. So I try to book connecting flights with the same airline. Then I think at least the Airline will get us there eventually.0

Which airport and what sort of connection time are you leaving yourself?0 -
I am using Istanbul with Turkish Airlines. And I allow myself about 6 hours in Istanbul between flights!
(So I do not take BA to Istanbul.)
A bit of a pain, but Istanbul Airport has a great Museum, so I can wile away some of the time in there. I also find this method far less stressful.

I've just found out the Post Office travel insurance has a "Missed departure and connection outside the UK" optional cover

Many thanks....
I am an oldie, though. So I also need pre-exiting health conditions cover. Which restricts the market,0 -

Yes I pay for that aspect as well. So my flights are dearer, rather than taking the cheapest price available with Turkish.
There is still a certain amount I would have to pay, to transfer a flight or get a refund, but I don't lose it all.
